> CDD M.E.P.E. is a Greek engineering company founded in December 2011, specializing in
> custom electronics design and development, robotics and control systems, low-power
> tracking devices, UAVs and the Internet of Things.

CDD (full name: Concept Design Development, legal entity CDD M.E.P.E.) is based in
Metamorfosi, Athens, Greece. The core team is made up of PhD-level and doctoral-candidate
engineers spanning mechanical engineering, control systems, robotics, embedded software
and image processing, trained at NTUA, EPFL and UOA. The company takes products from
concept to prototype in as little as one to six months.

- Electronics & Hardware Design — custom electronics and PCB design and development, from concept through to working prototype.
- Robotics & Control Systems — mechanism design and motor-control electronics for robotic platforms, including the MODUL actuation unit developed with ETH Zurich.
- Tracking & Connected Devices — miniature GPS and low-power wireless modules for wildlife, pet, asset and container tracking, plus Zigbee-based IoT and home-automation products.
- UAV & Drone Systems — flight controllers and electronic speed controllers, evolved into a fully-owned drone hardware and software platform.

Notable milestones:
- MODUL Actuation Unit — a commercially viable series-elastic actuation unit for legged robots, developed with ETH Zurich's Autonomous Systems Lab under the ECHORD++ programme.
- Wildlife Tracking Devices — miniature GPS and low-power wireless tracking modules developed with the University of Zurich, extended to pet, bicycle and container tracking.
- UAV & Drone Platform — from an EU FP7-funded multicopter ESC and flight-controller project to a fully-owned, AI-capable drone platform built for supply-chain sovereignty.
